We understand that starting something new or coming back to something after a break can feel really hard. Yoga with Verity classes are designed to meet you on the mat, with what you need in that moment.
Heres a secret, it might not be the same every class.
When you join a Yoga with Verity class you’ll quickly notice that Yoga really is for every body (especially yours).

Benefits of yoga.

In the modern western world we tend to look after our body separate from the mind and vice versa. Yoga helps to bring both back together into balance and harmony with each other.

Our energy reserves are not finite and when we start to feel depleted it’s usually already too late, Yoga teaches us how to harness the breathe with movement so we can start to manage our own energy levels, while gaining a greater understanding of what our bodies are trying to tell us.

Studies have shown that sleep quality is greatly improved after just one yoga class. Yoga helps to shift the body into its preferred ‘rest and digest’ state and it is here that we can sleep more soundly. Improved sleep effects all other areas of life, so the effects can be felt far beyond bedtime.

Common injuries can occur when the body is not moving optimally, which is usually the result of a sedentary lifestyle, Yoga helps to kindly mobilise the parts of the body that can become stiff and achy, the side effect being less injuries further down the line.

We know that not everyone wants or needs to do the splits but flexibility is so much more than that, it’s important to the overall health of our muscles and joints. Increased flexibility aids in mobility and strength, when the whole body is working as one unit thats when you can feel the magic. Plus being able to touch your toes is quite a nice feeling, isn’t it?

This one might come as a surprise but beginning yoga can be one of the kindest things you can do for your body if you are constantly trying to lose weight. Yoga can never replace calorie deficits and energy expenditure - but what it will do is help you discover what’s going on inside of you that might be holding you back from reaching your goals. Our poor backs are taking the brunt of modern day living and a record number of people are having to seek medical intervention and take time off work because of it. Yoga helps to get the spine moving, helps you understand how to move it well and educates you on the importance of sitting, standing and lying well. If you look after your back, your back will look after you.

This class is ideal if you are a beginner or are returning to practice after a break. We cover the why of yoga and there are lots of options given to help make class accessible for every body. .

Thursday classes in Peterborough. Yoga for every body.
Full body flows designed to connect body, mind and breath. Each week we follow a theme designed to calm the nervous system and move the body.

NEXT CLASS NOVEMBER 30TH 9pm
Monthly menopause yoga classes to give you some much needed you time. A time to pause and take care of the mindbody going through the changes of menopause and peri-menopause.
